An Archaeologist’s Eye: The Parthenon Drawings of Katherine A. Schwab

Katherine A. Schwab, PhD, integrates her knowledge of art, history, and archaeology in this series of 35 graphite and pastel drawings that brings to life her observations of the classical Greek high-relief marble panels known as metopes on the east and north sides of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece.  This show also includes a plaster cast of Metope North 25.  Professor Ann Steiner will fold this exhibition into her Fall 2016 Classics course, “Greek Art & Archaeology”.
