Pneumatics & Hydraulics
(For those who have completed one of the following grades: 2-8)
Discover the power of air and water by building movable gadgets! After learning the basics of these fascinating technologies, we will use plastic syringes, tubing, K’NEX, and everyday household materials to design and create things that move in a variety of ways and perform various tasks.
June 29th-July 3rd, 9am-12pm
Instructed by Lauren Schaller

Summer & Fireworks
(For those who have completed one of the following grades: 1-8)
Fun, sun, and explosive action! Play fire tricks but do it safely. Make the sun work for you with color-changing crafts. Create your own sci-fireworks. Finally, spice up the picnic table with food science best for sunny days.
June 29th-July 3rd, 1-4pm
Instructed by Danielle Bupp-Petersheim

Junk Drawer Robotic Arm
(For those who have completed one of the following grades: 3-8)
Learn the science and mechanical engineering-based skills behind robotic design with everyday household items! You will build your own fully functioning robotic arm that moves with its own hands and grippers!
July 6th-10th, 9am-12pm
Instructed by Christopher Blackmon

CSI-Adventure
(For those who have completed one of the following grades: 1-8)
Step into the shoes of a crime science investigator! Your crime science unit will work together to gather and track the evidence to convict your fictional felon. For instance, you will test fingerprints, analyze fake blood, photograph crime scenes, and more.
July 6th-10th, 1-4pm
Instructed by Toni Allen-King

Bicycle Time!
(For those who have completed one of the following grades: 4-8)
Explore the physics and technology of the bicycle in this well-rounded camp. Experiment with wheels and axles, play with gears and levers, learn how a bike is assembled, how to properly fix a bike, how to maintain a bike, and more! Then we’ll go beyond the machine by learning about bicycling in general: going for distance, speed, and safest practices.
July 13th-17th, 9am-12pm
Instructed by Jamie Bresch

Electric MakerSpace!
(For those who have completed one of the following grades: 4-8)
In this Maker camp, we will work on projects that mix science, technology, engineering, and art. We’ll start by exploring all the electronic functions you can get out of our complex yet easy-to-assemble kits! Then you will connect circuits with unexpected materials, experiment with projects based on electromagnetism, and build different types of movable devices to learn a little about robotics!
July 13th-17th, 1-4pm
Instructed by Erica Roth

Ooey Gooey
(For those who have completed one of the following grades: 1-8)
In this camp, it’s ok to get a little dirty, soapy, sticky and syrupy! You won’t believe how many surprising things we can turn into experiments! Join us to play with plastics, oils and more. We’ll even make a sweet treat!
July 20th-24th, 9am-12pm
