The Uninhabitable

September 10, 2015 - December 11, 2015

The Uninhabitable is Amze Emmons’ first solo museum exhibition, which takes its title from a selection of George Perec’s Species of Spaces and presents drawings, paintings, and prints surveying eight years of investigating the construction of space and the politics of architecture. Emmons is a multi-disciplinary Philadelphia-based artist whose work evokes a sense of magical, minimal realism inspired by architectural illustration, comic books, cartoon language, information graphics, news footage, consumer packing, and instruction manuals.

Opening Reception: September 10, 5 pm, Gibson Curriculum Gallery
