“Amending America: The Bill of Rights” Opens

Amending America: The Bill of Rights is a nationally-recognized travelling exhibition from the National Archives on display at LancasterHistory.org from June 16 – August 11, 2018.

Amending America: The Bill of Rights spotlights one of the most remarkable periods in American history, explores the origins of the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution (collectively known as the Bill of Rights), and illustrates how each amendment protects U.S. citizens. Amending America explores the history of constitutional amendments through petitions, landmark documents, political cartoons, and interactive stations that address such issues as child labor, prayer in school, free speech, women’s rights, civil rights, and more.

The Amending America exhibition is available to view June 16 – August 11, 2018, Monday – Saturday from 9:30am – 5pm. Closed Sundays. Tickets available at door.
