Be An Illustrator: Featured Artist Howard Pyle

Explore the illustrative style and narratives depicted by American illustrator Howard Pyle, who visited the Ephrata Cloister in 1880. Students will create their own interpretation of the Ephrata Cloister’s history and landscape in the style of Pyle’s work published in Harper’s Weekly. Artwork created during the program will be eligible to be displayed during the Cloister Student Art Show at the Ephrata Public Library.
