Padmini Mongia: Gallery Talk

Reach is Padmini Mongia’s second solo show at the Phillips Museum.  In 2005, the Phillips mounted her Shapes of Nature, and, last year, she contributed artwork to Just A Few of Us.  Mongia is a longtime member of F&M’s English faculty, and, as she says, Reach exhibits the creative process of her moving–reaching–from the verbal arts to the visual arts even as Reach plays with scale, with very small abstract artworks reaching to larger ones in this show of ink and acrylic on canvas.
