Regional History Colloquium: “A Conversation with General Grant”
December 10, 2015 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
FreeKenneth J. Serfass brings Ulysses S. Grant to life in this upcoming Regional History Colloquium at LancasterHistory.org. Through a first-person living history portrayal, Serfass will discuss the Gettysburg Campaign along with a variety of additional topics and conversations that surrounded the General and future 18th President of the United States. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A towards the end of the lecture.
A USMC Veteran and long-time Civil War reenactor, Ken Serfass has been a student of Grant all his life. He has appeared nationally on television, film and numerous speaking engagements. He offers a walking tour in Gettysburg set in 1867, along with additional portrayals as the General for school visits, round table panels and other events. Serfass thrills listeners with his vast knowledge and uncanny resemblance to the Civil War’s greatest General.
The colloquium, A Conversation with General Grant, takes place on Thursday, December 10, beginning with a social gathering at 4pm, followed by the lecture from 4:30-5:30pm. The lecture is free and open to the public, and takes place in Ryder Hall at LancasterHistory.org, 230 N President Avenue.
