Thank Heaven for the English Bill

On June 2nd, step back in time to June 1858. During a special first-person portrayal, visitors will not only have a chance to tour Wheatland, but meet with President James Buchanan and his First Lady and niece Miss Harriet Lane as they prepare for their summer break from Washington politics. Discover Miss Lane’s role as a fashionista, and why Senator William English’s bill in Congress is so important to the President of the United States.
