Homeschool Class: Skittles, Probability & Statistics
Use an average packet of skittles for more than just a snack! Did you know there’s math in there, too? Analyze the number of skittles, their colors, and compare them to the group.
K’nex Holiday Make and Take Workshop
K’nex Galore! Ornaments, wreaths, snowflakes, and MORE! Join us on Saturday, December 15th from 10am – 3pm for this special drop-in building workshop. Follow design instructions or dream up your own special K’nex Holiday creation to take home. Use them to deck your halls or to give as gifts!
Cold Storage Winter Camp
The 10th annual Cold Storage Winter Camp will take place December 26th – 30th. Campers grades K – 8 will enjoy engaging, hands-on STEM activities in half-day sessions (or choose to stay for the whole day) that are the perfect cure for the cabin fever that sets in during Winter Break!

Homeschool Class: The Planets!
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and yes, Pluto! The planets in our solar system have similarities and differences. Learn about them while molding a model of Mercury, performing fizzy experiments, and setting up Saturn’s rings. Students will take home their own Solar System.
Makerspace Workshop: Cardboard Creations
Cars, houses, masks, moving sculptures? You can make all of these (and more) using the engineering design process and the power of cardboard!
Homeschool Class: The Stars
Explore the sky with this lesson about stars. Learn about the chemistry in every star and find out why stars are only stable for 90% of their lifetime. Use your keen eyes to find constellations by the season and then construct the constellation under which you were born.

Just after the Spring Equinox, students will dive into learning about the seasons. Observe and measure absorption of water, an important part of Summer. Make a feeder for backyard critters in the Autumn, and then learn about insulators to keep warm in the Winter. Finally, students will use a common object to make a little garden to celebrate Spring!
