Boehm’s annual Apple Fest will be held rain or shine, 13 West Boehms Road, Willow Street PA

Foods include homemade apple butter, dumplings, nuggets, baked goods, hot and cold luncheon foods, homemade apple ice cream

Activities are planned for the children, crafters will line the chapel walkway and also be found inside the Fellowship Hall of the church.

Chapel tours and DVD will be available throughout the day.  Noon time music will feature Gospel and Country music

Buggy-but true!  Ladybugs can be grouchy in a bug eat bug world. This program is for families with children ages 2-5 years old accompanied by an adult. Siblings under two may attend along with at least one paying older child. One adult required for every four children attending.  Pre-registration is required.

Grab a pair of binoculars and come bird watching with us as we go undercover to discover why springtime is for the birds.  Nests you can nibble on and a birdhouse you build will give you something to chirp about.

If you like fast, funny and froggy, you will be “hoppy” to join us for some “un-frog-gettable” amphibian activities that include choosing a tadpole of your own to take home and wait for big changes.

MommyandMe

At our Mommy & Me events, enjoy free coffee and meet other Lancaster mommies, daddies and caretakers. Bring your little ones, 5 and under, to the Explore Nature Gallery for a hands-on introduction to science and nature.

March’s Mommy & Me event is all about the unique and fun aspects of eggs. Learn how to make an egg float, bounce and also get an up-close look at a real Ostrich egg. There will be a chance for hands-on experiences with many replica eggs from our collections.

Free with general museum admission and children 5 and under are free.

Treat yourself and your family to an exciting show in our SciDome theater–Central PA’s largest planetarium. These immersive shows are both fun and educational.

Members are invited to join the North Museum’s own Cosmic Mike® for a look at four new potential shows for our planetarium. At the preview, your feedback will help us select an exciting new title for our summer 2016 schedule!

Bring your child’s favorite stuffed animal friend(s) to the North Museum of Nature and Science for a sleepover adventure that they will never forget! Drop off your stuffed animal(s) any time between 4:00pm-6:00pm on Friday, August 14 for a sleepover, and then pick him/her up the next day Saturday, August 15 at 10:00am. There is no limit to the number of stuffed animals that you can bring.
A $5.00 fee per animal is due at time of drop-off.

During their sleepover your stuffed animal(s) will enjoy exploring the new Museum before being tucked safely in for the night.

On Saturday you will receive personalized photos of your stuffed animal(s) night at the Museum and get a chance to see what shenanigans your stuffed animal(s) got into during their sleepover.

Walk on the wild side as you use the field tools in your backpack to examine some of the crawling, flying and buzzing insects that call our grassy meadow home.

Participation is FREE with regular admission to Hands-on House. All activities are held outdoors in our play garden. All programs are designed for adults and children to experience together. Drop in anytime during the scheduled time. No pre-registration required. Please note: These outdoor programs may be cancelled due to weather.
