Looking for something to do with a day off from school? The Lancaster Science Factory is the place for you! We will be OPEN Monday, February 18th from 10am-5pm for the Presidents’ Day holiday.

Come out and join us for a spooktacular evening of thrills, chills, and good old fashioned fun! After hours at the North Museum is Halloween fun for all.

Sit by the campfire in our planetarium and listen to some stories including local lore and Native American tales about the stars. Take a flashlight scavenger hunt throughout the Museum and find some of our creepy, crawly, and uncanny collections along the way. Stop by our Mad Scientist’s Lab and learn how to make some terrifyingly fantastic potions. All this and more in our Haunted Museum!

Buy tickets for Spooky Science Trick or Treat and get your ticket for the Haunted Museum at half price! Come out for our daytime event and get tickets to the evening event at half the price! What a spooktacular deal!

Stop into the North Museum this Halloween for our Spooky Science Trick-or-Treat!

Each activity station will have a candy or non-candy treat for all our guests! You’ll get a complimentary trick or treat bag to carry your stash of goodies and all your crafts to take home! There will be a Costume Contest at 12pm and 3pm with prizes for the first, second, and third place winners! We encourage all our guests to wear costumes for this day of fun!

Our activities for the day include slime brain dissection, build a monster, spider leg potions, and so much more!

All activities and events are included in the price of admission! Add a planetarium show for a small additional charge.

Join the North Museum for our biggest event of the summer! STEAM Carnivale is a fun-filled day of experiments, activities, and projects that inspire kids of all ages with the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). This year, STEAM Carnivale will be a BILINGUAL event!

Activities will include:
– Planetarium shows in English AND Spanish
– Girl Scout STEM Mobile
– SpheroBots
-Art and Technology Demos
– and so much more!

“Science Inspires Curiosity” Mural Dedication & Meet and Greet with the Artist, Katie Trainer!

Friday, December 1st at The Lancaster Science Factory

Artist, Katie Trainer, will be on hand to discuss her 30′ tall STEM-themed mural inside the Science Factory.

Guests are invited to view a 2-minute timelapse video of the 2 week painting project. In addition to the timelapse video by Kenneth King, the artist will provide several 15 minute guided tours of the mural design. See if you can find all of the secret images hidden in the mural with a Sci-Spy adventure created by Katie Trainer Artist/Author/Magic!

Admission to the museum is free from 5-8pm thanks to special funding from PPL Electric Utilities.

Bob Lydum with Agilent Technologies, presents Science in Motion: Hydro Lift

Description: Participants will build their own hydro lift and learn about the transfer of energy used to increase force. Use your newly founded creation to demonstrate the principles of Hydraulics and see if you can recognize where it might be useful in the working world.

Take learning to the next level with the new ‘Interactive Science Discovery’ series at The Lancaster Science Factory! This FREE family-friendly event will feature our partners from Franklin & Marshall College as they provide activities for ages Pre-K to adult based on current research being done locally. Participants will also be able to explore our museum’s exhibits during this time.
