“Science Inspires Curiosity” Mural Dedication & Meet and Greet with the Artist, Katie Trainer!

Friday, December 1st at The Lancaster Science Factory

Artist, Katie Trainer, will be on hand to discuss her 30′ tall STEM-themed mural inside the Science Factory.

Guests are invited to view a 2-minute timelapse video of the 2 week painting project. In addition to the timelapse video by Kenneth King, the artist will provide several 15 minute guided tours of the mural design. See if you can find all of the secret images hidden in the mural with a Sci-Spy adventure created by Katie Trainer Artist/Author/Magic!

Admission to the museum is free from 5-8pm thanks to special funding from PPL Electric Utilities.

The Education Organization of Elizabethtown College is excited to announce our 2nd annual Factory Friday Event on March 31st from 5:30-7:30pm at The Lancaster Science Factory. This FREE event is open to all school age kids! Come explore all the science factory has to offer with explanations of the science behind the fun provided by pre-service teachers. Join us for experiments led by Education Club volunteers, and some hands-on science fun!

Join us during Lancaster Artwalk and discover the science in art!

During ArtWalk, visit the North Museum and enjoy a family-friendly hands-on activity that combines science and art. ArtWalk activity will take place, rain or shine, in the Museum lobby. While at the Museum, explore the three unique installations from local artists inspired by science and nature in the STEAM Art Gallery.

Non-Members: There is no cost to participate in the Spring ArtWalk hands-on art activity. Museum admission required to visit the SciDome Theater and to view the new art installations in the STEAM Art Gallery.

Members: There is no cost to participate in the Spring ArtWalk hands-on art activity. Museum admission is included with Museum Membership ID.

Bring your child’s favorite stuffed animal friend(s) to the North Museum of Nature and Science for a sleepover adventure that they will never forget! Drop off your stuffed animal(s) any time between 4:00pm-6:00pm on Friday, August 14 for a sleepover, and then pick him/her up the next day Saturday, August 15 at 10:00am. There is no limit to the number of stuffed animals that you can bring.
A $5.00 fee per animal is due at time of drop-off.

During their sleepover your stuffed animal(s) will enjoy exploring the new Museum before being tucked safely in for the night.

On Saturday you will receive personalized photos of your stuffed animal(s) night at the Museum and get a chance to see what shenanigans your stuffed animal(s) got into during their sleepover.

After achieving balance, families will learn how they can participate in our upcoming county-wide mobile contest.This workshop is FREE with your membership or paid admission to The Lancaster Science Factory.
