Little Explorer & Me: Yummy Science

We’ve changed the name! Since we know that Daddies, Grandparents, and Caretakers like to join the fun too, our early childhood program, previously known as Mommy & Me, is now called Little Explorer & Me!

Visit the North Museum on June 29 with your Little Explorer for a delicious blend of food and science!

At each Little Explorer & Me, enjoy free coffee and meet other Lancaster parents (Moms, Dads, Grandparents, and Caretakers). Bring your little ones, 5 and under, to the Explore Nature Gallery at the North Museum for a hands-on introduction to science and nature.

June’s program is all about food. Since we need to eat every day, meal time is an easy way to incorporate science that your child is sure to appreciate.

Activities Planned Include:

• Marshmallow Engineering: Design and create a marshmallow structure with this tasty introduction to the engineering process
• Butter Making: We will talk about how all food starts on a farm and shake up some homemade butter
• Hands-on Exploration with collections items including a Root Viewer and a variety of seeds

This is a drop-in program and no preregistration is required.
